He’s apparently lost his lease and is unable to continue the business. Just shy of 20 years in business
It is not too surprising. I shop there often, since Mel lives very close. Each time I went in the shelves were more empty and often the items I wanted were out of stock. I am not sure if I will shop more at Kettles & Grains (sure wish they at least had an online listing of products in stock) or just shift more of my shopping to online.
Jays Brewing is a bit far for me, but I think they have free shipping for orders of $69+.
Agreed with Brent. Although I had already shifted to Kettles and Grains for the most part. and yes, I order more online. Club members, I recommend you go in and meet George and Dawn. Let them know you are part of NoVA Homebrew and you know me. After they ask you to leave ( ), I would get their phone number and George’s email address. He is always willing to take a call to check on whether he has an item. He will also take an email list from you and check that as well. He will also order items too.
So, I recommend that you use Kettles & Grains as much as you can ( Or Jay’s if it is closer). I would hate for us to lose that store as well. We need to support them as much as we can.
PS. Tell George you hate the Cleveland Browns, he will make sure you never have any product available to you again!!
