Old Ox Relaunch Proposal

For those that might be interested. I got the following email today:

Hi Old Ox family,

Over the past few months many of you have asked, “When—and where—will Old Ox pour again?” We’re excited to share an early look at the plan we’re exploring:

Permanent home on Woodlawn Road – Most of the budget would go toward buying and upgrading a stand‑alone building so Old Ox finally has a forever home.
Brewery re‑launch – A smaller portion would help restart production, refresh the taproom, and bring your favorite beers (and new ones!) back to Loudoun County.
Community‑driven – We’re gauging interest from neighbors, fans, and local real‑estate supporters who want to see Old Ox thrive for the long haul, a community owned home for Old Ox!

If that sounds like something you’d like to hear more about, click the link below to review our short overview deck and—totally non‑binding—let us know you’re interested. You’ll be the first to get updates as the project evolves, including any future information sessions.

I wish them the best. That location seems good and it moves them closer to the population of Sterling and Herndon/Reston. I might even be able to ride my bike to the location (well, if we had more bike friendly roads in the area). Investing what retirement savings I have in a brewery is not really an option.

I don’t see a link.

I got it too. Location is better for todays climate. You need to be more everything friendly and have a kitchen and events. The pitch is to buy the building really. I know moving brewing equipment is a bitch, but I am not sure investing in a building is a fantastic idea unless you are getting a deal.

Then again Old Ox and Dynasty were forced out because the lease available is unaffordable so maybe I’m wrong.
